As a businesswoman she should know better than to ask her employees who they voted for and then chastise them for their choice. I bet if it was reversed and she was chastised for voting for McCain, your reaction would be a lot stronger!

I’m sorry your mom may have to lay off some employees but don’t blame that on Obama, blame it on the effect that 8 years of Bush has had on the economy. And 4 years of McCain would have been like 12 years of Bush. Thank goodness that didn’t happen.

It was probably done in a moment of anger. If it continues, though, that is a different matter.

But let me tell you about my mom’s situation. She lives in another state and owns a small business that employs 12 people.

Now that Obama is president, and plans to not only to raise taxes on businesses like hers, he also plans to raise the minimum wage, which in effect, is another tax increase on businesses.

She told me over the phone that most likely, she is going to have to lay off two of the people that work for her, and she does not want to do so.

Go Obama!

Go Democratic Congress!

Luckily, no one asked me who I voted for at work. They shouldn’t. It’s no one’s business but my own. My sister said someone asked her that question and she responded “There’s a curtain on the voting booth for a reason.”
