This Snow White scene was also used in The Aristocats and Robin Hood
So it turns out that some of my favorite classic movies have recycled “template” scenes from prior Disney movies. It seems the animators felt it was easier to simply make a template of one scene and just copy it over to newer cartoons. (Cartoon recycling, does that count as green?) The following Youtube clip shows scenes from the Jungle Book, Robin Hood, the Artisocats, Snow White, the Wind in the Willows, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, the Sword in the Stone, and 101 Dalmatians. Watch how the scenes overlap and perfectly fit with each other…
Not quite sure if this is disappointing or clever. Have I shattered your childhood memories or is this a trick that most animators use? What do you think?

I see the same set on television shows. The studios only have one new york balcony or rooftop… so you see the same rooftop on friends, rules of engagement, etc.
If you look close you will see the same furniture from a previous series….
So did disney cheat? Nah. They saved $ and time before computers.

I never really noticed that about the Disney movies, but like Eileen said, this doesn’t only happen in cartoons, but on TV shows as well. I guess it saves them time and money!
